Chobots
Chobots is a virtual online world for children. Most players are 8-18, but all ages are welcome to the game. You can play games, make new friends over the world, take part in contests, and express yourself with hundreds of items, furniture, and magic. You can even adopt your own pet, and fully customize it's colors, shape, eyes, mouth, hands, legs, etc. There are even ranks that you are able to earn in the game, like agentship, which is earned by helping, being active in the community, and introducing new players to the game. Another rank is journalist, which is earned by having a stylish, informational blog based around Chobots. Every month, there will be a post on the official Chobots blog stating that they are accepting applications for journalists. You must send an email to their support with your blog URL. They will review and pick the most suitable users. They sell citizenship (membership on other games) that allows players that pay for it, get special features such as citizen only clothes, citizen only magic, a bigger house, bigger chat bubble, taking your pet on walks, being able to unlock all Cho energy levels, and having a bigger friends list. They also sell premium items, special chat bubbles, and even custom player character bodies in the $hop. As yet another thing to entertain users, they have a Chobots Energy feature. Users can earn Chobots energy by doing things like playing games, staying online for long periods of time, and winning contests. As you earn more Chobots energy, you gain levels. Every level gives a new user title, and every 4 levels also gives an exclusive item. Another unique feature that the game has is their advanced party panel. Staff members can hold amazing parties with players, that include raining items, color changes, user body changes, swf plays, and even a music player. In that same panel, the staff Moderators can review chat logs, ban, ip ban, warn, chat ban, and receive user reports. It's the Moderator's job to keep the game free of bad players who spam and curse. Moderation is just one of the staff positions they have at Chobots.net. Another one would be Support, which, as the name states, runs the support email, and sometimes Skype support. One of the others would be development, which is a job for coders to obviously, code. The last staff position would be Illustration, which designs items and rooms for the game. Flash and Photoshop are needed for that position. All of those positions have a badge in-game to represent that they are apart of staff. Something different about Chobots, is that the staff actually is very interactive with the community. They chat with users, come online to party on the game regularly, and actively post on the game forum. Having a game forum obviously holds some risks, like inappropriate threads and advertisement bots, but they have a professional forum staff consisting of about 4 members. They have about the same role as the in-game moderators, and at least 1 moderator is online at any given time.
It's because of all these reasons that I believe Chobots.net is a great, safe game for kids. The game continues to evolve with better security, designs, and programming. I'd rate this game a 10/10 for all the spectacular features.
